About Us

Compassion Coalition’s basic premise is that we, as Christians, are called to be “Salt and Light” in the community in which we live (Matthew 5:13-16). Those who follow Jesus are to be “hands on” in our engagement of suffering and injustice.
Why? Because Jesus modeled it in his life and ministry, and those who have Christ in them will do the things he did. The evidence of Christ’s presence in our lives is His costly love flowing out of us (Galatians 2:20; 5:14).
Compassion Coalition’s dream is to see hundreds of churches and thousands of believers move beyond the walls of our church buildings and work side-by-side to love, serve, and walk with people in our community struggling to find hope. As we walk and work together, the presence of Christ’s love will be found in the places of darkness and brokenness, and the place we call home will be transformed!
